We visited the studio of Atsuko Yamashita — the shared studio “studio MOKAH.”
studio MOKAH is a collective studio run by six artists: Aki Moriyama, Shun Kokue, Akira Kubo, Hiyori Ito, Kei Jo, and Atsuko Yamashita.

The writer, along with a fellow collector and a gallerist — the three of us — visited in mid-March 2019, when a slight chill still lingered in the air.

The No. 150 painting she was working on that day will be unveiled at her solo exhibition “HER” in November 2019.

The two-story house was shared among the members. Atsuko Yamashita seems to love painting from the bottom of her heart, and she was pouring herself wholeheartedly into her work as she faced the canvas.
The studio was filled with the rich, dense scent of oil paint.

我们探访了Atsuko Yamashita的工作室，即共享工作室”studio MOKAH”。
studio MOKAH是由Aki Moriyama、Shun Kokue、Akira Kubo、Hiyori Ito、Kei Jo、Atsuko Yamashita六位艺术家共同运营的联合工作室。
studio MOKAH는 Aki Moriyama, Shun Kokue, Akira Kubo, Hiyori Ito, Kei Jo, Atsuko Yamashita 여섯 명이 함께 운영하는 공동 스튜디오이다.
Atsuko Yamashita의 작업 공간
필자와 컬렉터 동료, 갤러리스트 세 명이 방문한 것은 2019년 3월 중순, 아직 쌀쌀함이 남아 있던 시기였다.
바닥에 놓인 물감과 화구완성된 작품은 벽에 걸려 있었다.아틀리에 풍경150호 작품을 마주하고 있는 Atsuko Yamashita아틀리에에서 보는 작품은 갤러리와는 다른 표정을 지니고 있어 즐겁다.어수선한 아틀리에지만, 작품들이 늘어서 있어 화려한 분위기가 감돈다.제작 현장도 보여 주셨다.무언가 커다란 것에 도전하며 마주하고 있는 것처럼 보였다.액자에 넣어진 Yusuke Asai와의 협업 작품아틀리에 풍경Peter Doig와 Bonnard의 화집햇살이 들어오는 밝은 아틀리에였다
이날 그리고 있던 150호 작품은 2019년 11월 개인전 “HER”에서 공개될 예정이다.

2층짜리 단독주택을 멤버들이 함께 공유하며 사용하고 있었다. Atsuko Yamashita는 정말로 그림 그리는 것을 좋아하는 듯, 캔버스를 마주하며 온 힘을 다해 작품 제작에 몰두하고 있었다.
