Munch: A Retrospective — The Resonating Cry of the Soul
“Munch: A Retrospective — The Resonating Cry of the Soul” was held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum.
The special museum shop overflowed with lots of goods, and of course a catalogue corner was set up too. Four kinds of catalogue are sold for this Munch exhibition. Please see below.

The table of contents of the Munch exhibition catalogue. It runs 230 pages in total, with all-color plates. Abundant work commentary is included too.I like this photo included at the beginning of the catalogue.

Munch’s words are also printed on the back of the framed pictures.

Summary
An exhibition so wonderful it covers Munch’s entire painting career—surely a catalogue worth owning as a record.
Also, the special edition is limited to 500 copies, making it a precious catalogue. The packaging is nice too, and it’s sure to sell out. Any Munch fan will surely want to get one. At under 10,000 yen, it’s not that expensive, and those who hesitate may end up regretting it when it sells out.
I like 《Madonna》, so I’m agonizing over whether to buy it. How about you all?
