訪問を終えて
HIRO（@sh_art_collector）さん宅の訪問を終えて印象的だったのは、伸び盛りの若手から実力派の作家まで、平面作品や立体作品を問わず幅広くコレクションされていたことです。倉庫に保管することもなく、コレクション作品は全てご自宅で保管しているそうです。
筆者が興味を惹いた作品は、現在の描き込み方と異なる筆使いが印象的な、山田航平さんの2014年作品《めめんと・モリガール（アルピノ2）》と、平子雄一さんにコミッションで描いてもらったという作品です。ご本人を肖像画のように描いてある作品ですが、飼い犬までもがとても良く似ていて、引き込まれました。
直近では、コレクションしているアーティストと相談しながら、ミューラル（壁画）制作の計画も進行中とのことで、2020年に着手される予定です。こちらも興味深い取組です。
アートに向き合う姿勢が情熱的で、エネルギッシュなコレクターさんでした。

Art Collector Visit
This is a feature in which we visit an art collector’s home and take a look at their collection.
I had been wanting to do this feature for a very long time, and in connection with the Kore-Kore-ten in December, we are finally able to bring you the long-awaited first installment.
Our first featured collector is one of the three collectors participating in Kore-Kore-ten: HIRO (@sh_art_collector).

HIRO is an art collector who gathers a wide range of contemporary art — from street art to two- and three-dimensional works. His 2019 collection alone amounts to some 50 pieces.
He brings deep passion to each work and places great value on his relationships with galleries.

- How long have you been collecting?
About four years. - What got you started collecting?
It began one day when, on a whim, I searched online for bijinga (paintings of beautiful women).
Even now I don’t remember why I searched for bijinga at that moment.
It must have been the destined encounter between me and art (laughs). - Do you have a collection policy or particular philosophy?
I don’t really have any specific rules… I collect the artists and works that appeal to me. If anything, I am the decide-on-the-spot type (laughs).
That said, as a collector, I try never to lose respect for the artists and galleries.
I aim to always feel gratitude for being allowed to add a wonderful work to my collection.
Also, rather than deciding based solely on the gallery’s conversation, wherever possible I meet the artist in person, check on their process, their feelings about the work, and their character, and then acquire the piece.
There is a phrase spoken by a gallerist in a certain article — “the artist, the gallerist, and the collector are accomplices” — that made a strong impression on me. It carries an important meaning for continuing on as a collector.
- Your most favorite piece?
Haroshi’s “Wolf Man”.
For some time, collecting a work by Haroshi had been one of my personal goals as a collector. I had even thought that once I acquired a Haroshi, I would “take a break from collecting”.
As it turned out, my art addiction didn’t get cured after that either… (laughs).

I won’t name the artist, but this is the story of when I acquired a work by a rising young artist who has been on quite a roll.
I learned that a piece he had shown in the past was still at a gallery in the countryside. Three days later, I had traveled more than 700 km one way and picked up the work (laughs).
* From artists and gallerists I get compliments like “You are so passionate about art!” — I can never tell whether they are praising me or teasing me (laughs). - The artist you are most interested in right now?
It is very hard to narrow it down to one, but — Teppei Takeda, Mustone (Masato Mori), and Ly.
Art fills the washroom corner too — Ly, Masato Taniguchi - Which young artists are you looking forward to?
Again, more than one — first, Dan Isomura.
Then, Kurumi Kotani, and, on the street-art side, backsideworks.
Among overseas young artists, I am also watching the Filipino artist yeo kaa.

Whenever I have time, I check art-related posts on social media like Instagram. Based on that, I gather information on artworks and exhibitions.
I do pay attention to what collectors are up to, but rather than respecting any one person, I think what I resonate with is the passion I receive through social media from collectors who are enthusiastic about art. - Favorite (regular) galleries?
My concept as a collector is to view mainstream contemporary art at MAHO KUBOTA GALLERY, and to take in street-inflected art including its underground context at NANZUKA — striking a kind of balance as a collector between the two.
Among younger galleries, I often visit EUKARYOTE. If I am a passionate collector, then the two gallerists at EUKARYOTE are passionate young gallerists (laughs).
The Collection
Here is a look at some of the collection I saw.
Not only the 1st and 2nd floors of this two-story house, but the stairwell, hallways, and even around the kitchen — the entire home was wrapped in art.
After the Visit
Wrapping up the visit to HIRO (@sh_art_collector)‘s home, what stayed with me was the breadth of the collection — from rising young artists to well-established figures, spanning both two- and three-dimensional works. Nothing is kept in storage; every piece is kept at home.
Two pieces particularly caught my eye — Kohei Yamada’s 2014 “Memento Mori Girl (Albino 2)”, with a brushwork strikingly different from his current style; and a commissioned work by Yuichi Hirako in which the collector himself is depicted portrait-style. Even the family dog is rendered so faithfully that I found myself drawn right in.
Most recently, in consultation with artists he collects, a mural (wall-painting) project is also in the works, scheduled to begin in 2020. That is another intriguing initiative.
His attitude toward art is passionate and energetic — this is an inspired collector.
The collection works to be shown at Kore-Kore-ten are absolutely worth watching!

本文是走访艺术藏家家中、亲眼观赏其收藏的一档企划。
一直以来都很想做这个企划，如今借由 12 月即将举办的 Kore-Kore-ten，终于得以推出翘首以盼的第一期。
首位受访者是参与 Kore-Kore-ten 的三位藏家之一，HIRO（@sh_art_collector）。

HIRO 是一位以街头艺术为起点，兼收平面与立体作品、涉猎广泛的现当代艺术藏家。2019 年一年内，他的藏品数量便达到约 50 件。
他对作品倾注的热情极高，并且非常珍视与画廊之间的关系。

- 藏家生涯多久了？
大约 4 年。 - 开始收藏的契机是？
某天心血来潮，在网上搜索了 “美人画”。
如今回想，当时为什么会去搜 “美人画”，我自己都记不清了。
大概是我与艺术命中注定的相遇吧（笑）。 - 能否请您介绍一下您的收藏理念或坚持？
其实并没有什么特别的坚持…… 我就是收藏自己中意的作家和作品。硬要说的话，属于快刀斩乱麻的即决即断型（笑）。
不过，作为一名藏家，我时刻提醒自己不要忘记对作家和画廊的敬意。
我会怀着 “承蒙让我收藏了如此出色的作品” 的感恩之心。
另外，我不会仅凭画廊的介绍就决定收藏，而是尽可能亲自与作家见面，了解其创作过程、对作品的情感、其人品性之后再进行收藏。
某篇文章中一位画廊主说过一句话：《艺术家、画廊主与藏家是共犯关系》。这句话让我深受触动。作为一位持续前行的藏家，我认为这句话有着非常重要的意义。
- 最喜爱的一件藏品？
Haroshi 的《Wolf Man》。
在此之前，收藏 Haroshi 的作品一直是我作为藏家的一个目标。我甚至想过，一旦收藏到 Haroshi 的作品，我就”暂时休止收藏活动”。

恕不便提及艺术家的姓名，那是一位势头如日中天、活跃的年轻作家的作品。
我得知他此前展出的一件作品还在地方上的一间画廊里。三天之后，我便往返超过 700 公里，把作品收藏了下来（笑）。
※艺术家和画廊主们常对我说 “您对艺术真是热情啊！”——是在赞扬还是在打趣，我也听不出（笑）。 - 当前最关注的艺术家？
很难只选一个，但可以说是 Teppei Takeda、Mustone（Masato Mori）以及 Ly。洗手间角落也满是艺术作品——Ly、Masato Taniguchi - 值得期待的年轻艺术家？
同样是好几位，首先是 Dan Isomura。
其次是 Kurumi Kotani，以及街头系的 backsideworks。

只要有时间，我就会在 Instagram 等社交媒体上浏览艺术相关的贴文。基于这些信息去收集艺术作品和展览的资讯。
虽然一直留意其他藏家的动向，但并非特别敬重某一位，而是对那些通过 SNS 传递出的、对艺术怀着热情的藏家的情感产生共鸣。 - 喜爱（常去）的画廊？
我作为藏家的理念是：在 MAHO KUBOTA GALLERY 欣赏当代艺术的主流脉络，在 NANZUKA 感受包含地下语境的偏街头风格，从中在藏家身份上取得中和。
在年轻画廊中，我也常去 EUKARYOTE。如果说我是一位热情的藏家，那么 EUKARYOTE 的两位画廊主则是热情洋溢的年轻画廊人（笑）。
藏品介绍
在此为大家介绍我所拜见的藏品。
不仅是独栋一层、二层的空间，就连楼梯、走廊、厨房周围，都是被艺术包围的居家环境。
访问后记
拜访 HIRO（@sh_art_collector）之家后，最令我印象深刻的，是从蓄势待发的年轻新锐到实力派作家、平面立体不拘一格的广博收藏。据说他不将作品存放于仓库，所有藏品都置于家中。
笔者尤为感兴趣的两件作品是：Kohei Yamada 2014 年之作《Memento Mori Girl（Albino 2）》——其笔触与他现在的描绘方式截然不同，令人印象深刻；以及他委托 Yuichi Hirako 绘制的作品——以肖像形式描绘藏家本人，连爱犬的样貌也惟妙惟肖，令人深受吸引。
据悉，他最近正在与所收藏的艺术家协商，推进壁画（mural）创作计划，预计 2020 年动工。这也是十分有趣的尝试。
面对艺术的姿态热情而富有能量，是一位充满活力的藏家。
在 Kore-Kore-ten 上将披露的藏品作品，也值得高度关注！
아트 컬렉터 방문
본 기사는 아트 컬렉터의 자택을 방문해 컬렉션을 직접 살펴보는 기획입니다.
오래도록 해 보고 싶었던 기획이었는데, 12월에 개최되는 Kore-Kore-ten과 연계하여, 마침내 기다리던 제1탄을 선보이게 되었습니다.
첫 번째 주인공은 Kore-Kore-ten에 참가하는 컬렉터 세 명 중 한 분인, HIRO(@sh_art_collector) 님입니다.

HIRO 님은 스트리트 아트를 비롯해 평면 작품에서 입체 작품까지, 폭넓은 장르의 컨템포러리 아트를 수집하는 컬렉터입니다. 2019년 한 해에만 수집한 작품 수가 약 50점에 달한다고 합니다.
작품에 쏟는 열정이 뜨겁고, 갤러리와의 관계를 소중히 여기는 분입니다.

- 컬렉터 경력은?
4년 정도입니다. - 컬렉션을 시작하게 된 계기는?
어느 날 문득 인터넷에서 “미인화(美人畵)”를 검색한 것이 계기입니다.
지금에 와서는 그때 왜 미인화를 검색했는지 스스로도 기억이 나지 않네요.
분명 저와 아트의 운명적인 만남이었나 봅니다(웃음). - 컬렉션에 대한 원칙이나 고집이 있다면?
특별히 이렇다 할 고집은 없습니다…. 제가 마음에 든 작가와 작품을 수집합니다. 굳이 말하자면 즉결·즉단형이에요(웃음).
다만 컬렉터로서 작가와 갤러리에 대한 리스펙트는 잊지 않도록 마음에 새기고 있습니다.
훌륭한 작품을 컬렉션할 수 있게 해 주셔서 감사하다는 마음을 늘 품고 있으려 합니다.
또한, 갤러리의 이야기만 듣고 컬렉션을 결정하기보다, 가능한 한 작가 본인과 만나 제작 과정, 작품에 대한 애정, 인품 등을 확인한 뒤 컬렉션하고자 합니다.
어느 기사에서 갤러리스트가 한 말이지만, 《아티스트와 갤러리스트와 컬렉터는 공범 관계다》라는 말에 깊은 감명을 받았습니다. 컬렉터로 계속해서 걸어가는 데 있어 매우 중요한 의미를 담고 있다고 생각합니다.
- 가장 아끼는 아트 피스는?
Haroshi의 《Wolf Man》입니다.
예전부터 Haroshi의 작품을 컬렉션하는 것이 컬렉터로서의 한 가지 목표라고 생각해 왔습니다. Haroshi의 작품을 컬렉션하고 나면 “일단 컬렉션 활동을 잠시 쉬자”고까지 생각했습니다.

아티스트의 이름은 밝히지 않겠습니다만, 요즘 그야말로 승승장구하고 있는 어느 젊은 작가의 작품을 컬렉션했을 때의 이야기입니다.
과거에 전시했던 그 작품이 지방의 한 갤러리에 있다는 정보를 입수했습니다. 그로부터 사흘째, 편도로 700km가 넘는 거리를 이동해 작품을 컬렉션한 일입니다(웃음).
※아티스트 여러분이나 갤러리스트분들로부터 “아트에 정말 열정적이시네요!”라는 말을 자주 듣는데, 칭찬인지 놀림인지 알 수 없는 표현이기도 합니다(웃음). - 지금 가장 주목하고 있는 아티스트는?
한 명으로 좁히기는 상당히 어렵지만, Teppei Takeda, Mustone(Masato Mori), Ly입니다.세면대 코너에도 넘쳐 나는 아트 작품~ Ly, Masato Taniguchi - 기대하는 젊은 아티스트는?
여기도 여러 명이 되겠는데, 우선은 Dan Isomura 씨입니다.

시간이 있을 때마다, Instagram 등 SNS에서 아트 관련 게시물을 챙겨보고 있습니다. 그 정보를 바탕으로 아트 작품과 전람회 정보를 수집합니다.
컬렉터들의 동향에는 관심을 기울이지만, 특정 누군가를 리스펙트한다기보다, 아트에 열정적이고 SNS를 통해 전해지는 컬렉터들의 열정에 공감하는 것이라 생각합니다. - 단골(자주 방문하는) 갤러리는?
저의 컬렉터로서의 콘셉트는, MAHO KUBOTA GALLERY에서 컨템포러리 아트의 본류를 감상하고, NANZUKA에서는 언더그라운드적 맥락까지 아우른 스트리트 성향의 아트를 감상하며, 컬렉터로서의 중용을 도모하는 것이라 생각하고 있습니다.
젊은 갤러리로는 EUKARYOTE를 자주 방문합니다. 제가 열정적인 컬렉터라 한다면, EUKARYOTE의 두 갤러리스트는 열정적인 젊은 갤러리스트라 할 수 있죠(웃음).
컬렉션 소개
직접 살펴본 컬렉션을 소개해 드리고자 합니다.
단독주택의 1층, 2층뿐 아니라 계단과 복도, 주방 주변 등 곳곳에 아트가 걸린, 온통 예술로 감싸인 자택이었습니다.
방문을 마치고
HIRO(@sh_art_collector) 님의 자택 방문을 마치고 인상 깊었던 점은, 성장세의 젊은 작가부터 실력파 작가에 이르기까지, 평면 작품과 입체 작품을 가리지 않고 폭넓게 컬렉션하고 계시다는 사실이었습니다. 창고에 보관하는 일 없이, 컬렉션 작품은 모두 자택에 두고 계신다고 합니다.
필자의 관심을 특히 끈 작품은, 현재의 표현 방식과는 다른 붓 놀림이 인상적인 Kohei Yamada의 2014년 작 《Memento Mori Girl(Albino 2)》과, Yuichi Hirako에게 커미션으로 의뢰해 그렸다는 작품이었습니다. 본인을 초상화처럼 그린 작품인데, 반려견까지도 매우 흡사하게 그려져 있어 시선을 사로잡았습니다.
최근에는 컬렉션 중인 아티스트와 상의하면서, 뮤럴(벽화) 제작 계획도 진행 중이며, 2020년에 착수될 예정이라 합니다. 이 역시 흥미로운 시도입니다.
아트를 대하는 자세가 열정적이고 에너지 넘치는 컬렉터였습니다.
