【個展】揺れ動く内面の描写〜川島秀明「Youth」@ 小山登美夫ギャラリー

川島秀明さんの新作個展「Youth」にお伺いしてきました。会場は小山登美夫ギャラリーです。
なお、同時期に旧作を展示する企画「川島秀明 [2001-2014]」がヒカリエの「8/ ART GALLERY/ Tomio Koyama Gallery」で開催されました。2つの個展同時開催です。

川島秀明さんの作品はキャンバスにアクリル絵の具を使ったポートレート作品が中心です。

以前の作品よりもポートレートの人物は具象化されていますが、中性的な登場人物は1人、2人、3人と描写される人数によって印象が変わって見えます。それぞれの内面の揺れ動きがキャンバスから伝わってきて得も言われぬ雰囲気が漂ってきます。

I visited Hideaki Kawashima’s new solo exhibition “Youth.” The venue is Tomio Koyama Gallery.
Around the same time, a related exhibition of earlier works titled “Hideaki Kawashima [2001-2014]” was held at “8/ ART GALLERY/ Tomio Koyama Gallery” in Hikarie — two solo shows running simultaneously.

Hideaki Kawashima’s practice centers on portrait works painted in acrylic on canvas.

Compared with his earlier works, the figures in these portraits feel more clearly rendered, yet the impression of the androgynous subjects shifts noticeably depending on whether one, two, or three of them appear together. Each canvas conveys the subtle stirrings of an inner life, giving the whole show an atmosphere that is hard to put into words.

与此同时，以旧作为主题的策划展”Hideaki Kawashima [2001-2014]”在Hikarie的”8/ ART GALLERY/ Tomio Koyama Gallery”举办，两场个展同期开幕。

川岛秀明的创作以布面丙烯的肖像作品为核心。

与早期作品相比，画中人物的形象更为具象化，而画面中中性化的登场人物随着人数为一人、两人、三人的不同变化，也呈现出截然不同的印象。每一件作品都从画布上传递出人物内心的细微摇动，营造出一种难以言喻的独特氛围。

같은 시기, 구작을 소개하는 기획전 “Hideaki Kawashima [2001-2014]”이 Hikarie의 “8/ ART GALLERY/ Tomio Koyama Gallery”에서 열려, 두 개인전이 동시에 개최되었다.

Hideaki Kawashima의 작품은 캔버스에 아크릴 물감으로 그린 인물화가 중심을 이룬다.

이전 작품에 비해 인물의 형태는 한층 구체적으로 표현되었지만, 중성적인 등장인물이 한 명, 두 명, 세 명으로 등장할 때마다 그 인상이 확연히 달라져 보인다. 각각의 내면의 흔들림이 캔버스로부터 전해져 와, 형언하기 어려운 특유의 분위기가 감돌고 있었다.
