【個展】額縁と絵画の関係性を再構築する〜大渕花波「おばけのプラクティス」

額縁と絵画の関係性を考えた時、
額縁の扱われ方は「必要だが、無いもの」とれされています。
日本の美術展において、展覧会会場では額縁が必要とされていますが、
図録では額縁は見事にトリミングされ、必要とされません。
そのさまから私は“おばけ”という架空の存在に例えることにしました。

この展示ではその“おばけ”をテーマに、
額縁と絵画の関係性について再構築した作品を展示いたします。
ぜひ、両者の関係性について改めて再考して頂ければと思います。

When considering the relationship between the frame and the painting,
the treatment of the frame is regarded as “necessary, yet non-existent.”
In Japanese art exhibitions, frames are required in the exhibition space,
but in catalogues they are neatly cropped out and deemed unnecessary.
From this state of affairs, I have chosen to liken the frame to a fictional presence called a “ghost.”

In this exhibition, with the “ghost” as the theme,
I present works that reconstruct the relationship between frame and painting.
I hope viewers will reconsider the relationship between the two.

在思考画框与绘画的关系时，
画框的存在方式被视为”必要却不存在”。
在日本的美术展中，会场需要画框，
但在图录里画框却被巧妙地裁剪掉，被视作不必要。
从这种情形出发，我将其比喻为”幽灵”这一虚构的存在。

在本次展览中，以此”幽灵”为主题，
展出重新建构画框与绘画关系的作品。
希望各位能重新思考两者之间的关系。

액자와 회화의 관계를 생각할 때,
액자의 취급은 “필요하지만 존재하지 않는 것”으로 여겨져 있습니다.
일본의 미술전에서는 전시장에서 액자가 필요로 되지만,
도록에서는 액자가 깔끔히 잘려나가 필요치 않게 됩니다.
그러한 모습에서 저는 “유령”이라는 가공의 존재에 비유하기로 했습니다.

이 전시에서는 그 “유령”을 주제로,
액자와 회화의 관계성을 재구축한 작품을 선보입니다.
꼭 양자의 관계성에 대해 다시금 재고해 주시길 바랍니다.
