Teppei Takeda “PAINTINGS OF PAINTING” Book Signing
We visited the launch event for the book published by United Vagabonds, which featured a talk and book signing by the participating artists.
The venue was “BIBLIOTHECA & Rose Bakery Ginza” on the 7th floor of DOVER STREET MARKET GINZA.
The venue was packed
New Poster — Limited Edition of 100
The event served as a launch and signing for the recently published artist’s book and the newly released poster; the poster’s image was taken from a new 2019 work first shown at his solo exhibition.
The new poster was sold as a limited release (5,500 yen incl. tax). Limited to 100 copies (sold out on the day). The title of the original painting is “Painting for a Painting 026”
It wasn’t sold at this event, but at the book-launch exhibition held around the same time as the solo show, a poster using the image adopted for the book’s cover was on sale.

The two posters are the same size, but they are printed on different paper stocks.
The new one is a bit thicker. The previous one used a smooth, high-quality thin paper. Personally, I prefer the paper stock of the previous poster.
I brought a poster tube with me and added the new poster to my own collection.
Venue view
Even though the event lasted only one hour, roughly a hundred fans showed up, and the room was buzzing with excitement.
The poster sold out that same day. As an extremely rare item, its value is likely to keep climbing.
Ryota Katayose (RYOTA KATAYOSE) of GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE also posted his signed copy of the poster on Instagram.

Former ANGERME member Maho Aikawa also shared a post on Instagram. The work appears to be picking up a following among celebrities.
