It has been just over a month since the close of “Obviously No One Can Make Heads Nor Tails,” the first solo museum exhibition by the art unit me — a show that stirred up both praise and criticism.
Just as the afterglow of the exhibition is beginning to fade, the catalogue we had pre-ordered arrived by post.
This catalogue is the first ever published by me. It is therefore structured around the record of the exhibition, but past works are included as well. It is also finished with an unusual binding that feels distinctly of me — a one-of-a-kind specification that retains a handmade quality.

Drawing-Signed Catalogue
This specially produced Drawing-Signed Catalogue was sold in a limited edition of only 50 copies, priced at 20,000 yen. It is said that most of the sale price goes to me as activity funds.
It is finished by hand by me’s Kojin and Minamikawa, giving it the feel of a precious art object in its own right.
After deducting 2,800 yen for the regular edition of the catalogue, the remaining 17,200 yen is provided to me as activity funds. *Above is the receipt for the drawing poster.
This Drawing-Signed Catalogue is made using materials that were used in the exhibition and items found on-site at the venue.

Drawings
As a “Drawing-Signed Catalogue,” each of the 50 editions apparently bears a different drawing. Drawings and special decorations are scattered throughout the catalogue in multiple places.

Summary
Just like the “Obviously No One Can Make Heads Nor Tails” exhibition itself, there are parts of the book you cannot clearly figure out unless you compare it with the regular edition, and I found myself poring over it as if searching for hidden differences.
With charming drawings, tape and materials used in the exhibition, and above all a substantive selection that includes past works, the high level of finish only adds to its value. It is an unprecedented, unconventional catalogue that combines papers of different materials, sizes, and thicknesses. The regular edition has already sold out, and it is likely to attract attention as a catalogue whose value will only rise from here.

引发赞否两方声浪的艺术组合 me 在美术馆举办的首次个展《非常にはっきりとわからない》落幕已过去一个多月。
正当展览余韵渐渐冷却之际，此前预约购买的图录邮寄送达。
此次图录是 me 首次出版的画册。因此，虽以展览记录为中心构成，但也收录了过去的作品。此外，装帧独具 me 的风格，保留了手工感，是别处见不到的独特规格。

찬반양론을 불러일으킨 아트 유닛 me의 첫 미술관 개인전 “매우 분명하게 알 수 없다”가 막을 내린 지 한 달 남짓이 지났습니다.
전시의 여운이 서서히 가라앉는 가운데, 예약 구입해 두었던 도록이 우편으로 도착했습니다.
이번 도록은 me가 처음으로 출판하는 카탈로그입니다. 그런 까닭에 전시의 기록을 중심으로 구성되어 있지만, 과거의 작품들도 함께 수록되어 있습니다. 또한 me 특유의 감각이 살아 있는 독특한 장정으로, 수제 느낌이 남아 있는 유일무이한 사양으로 완성되어 있었습니다.

“드로잉 사인 카탈로그”인 만큼, 에디션 한정 “50부” 각기 다른 드로잉이 시행되어 있는 듯합니다. 또한 드로잉과 특별한 장식은 카탈로그 안에 여러 곳에 흩어져 있습니다.

정리
《매우 분명하게 알 수 없다》 전시와 마찬가지로, 통상판 도록과 비교하지 않으면 분명하게 알 수 없는 부분도 있어, 마치 틀린 그림 찾기처럼 몰두해 읽게 됐습니다.
사랑스러운 드로잉이나 전시에서 사용된 테이프 및 재료, 그리고 무엇보다 과거 작품까지 포함해 정리된 충실한 내용에, 높은 완성도가 그 가치를 한층 높이고 있는 듯합니다. 소재와 크기, 두께가 다른 종이들을 조합한, 지금까지 없던 파격적인 도록이었습니다. 통상판도 이미 판매가 종료되어, 앞으로 가치가 오를 도록으로 주목받게 될 것입니다.
