I arrived on the opening day of Karen Farmer’s solo exhibition “HIDDEN,” just after doors opened — perfect timing.

I had a chance to speak with the gallerist.
Recently, many people have been entering the art world from other industries, and for some reason conversations with such people flow well.
Their strategies and thinking are grounded in common sense, and their manner of speech makes ideas easy to grasp — it seems to suit me.
JINKINOKO GALLERY is a gallery specializing in street art, primarily showing works by international artists.
This exhibition features the Australian artist Karen Farmer.
Karen Farmer is an artist who paints from photographs of street art scenes she has taken.
Rather than so-called spray art, she uses a variety of media: traditional oil paintings, acrylic, pen, and more.The prices are also very reasonable. Regular clients of the gallery had rushed over and were enthusiastically making purchases.

The gallery is set in a renovated two-story house, and the quiet neighborhood and intimate atmosphere are quite appealing. I imagine many collectors are drawn to the personality of the gallerist Jin as well.
As a hub for street art, I look forward to keeping an eye on future exhibitions.
カレン・ファーマーさんは、撮影されたストリートアートの風景写真から作品を描く作家さんです。
いわゆるスプレーアートではない、正統派の油絵作品から、アクリル、ペンなど、画材も様々使用されています。
作品価格も非常に良心的です。ギャラリーの常連客さんも駆けつけていて、盛り上がりながら購入されていました。
2階建ての戸建てを改装して作られたギャラリーですが、閑静な場所にこじんまりとした雰囲気を作っていて好感が持てました。ギャラリストのJINさんのお人柄に惹かれて駆けつけるコレクターも沢山いそうです。
